Annual Combined Degree Colloquium & Veterinary Scholars Symposium

Each summer, veterinary scientists from across the country convene at the Combined Degree Colloquium, held in conjunction with the AAVMC’s Veterinary Scholars Symposium (VSS) with support from Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health. While the VSS invites all veterinary students engaged in research, the Colloquium offers events, presentations, and programs specifically for students enrolled in DVM/PhD or VMD/PhD Programs.

  • The inaugural Combined Degree Colloquium was held August 3rd, 2017 at the National Institutes of Health. The event featured a keynote address by Dr. Stephanie Murphy, a grant writing session, comments on industry careers by Dr. Roberto Alva, and student presentations.
